Aib has come a long way since the original 1995 version. OLD Aib was written in Borland Turbo C++ and resembled a DOS script. The new Aib was written in Microsoft Visual C++ (R), originally beginning in 2002. Since then, the completed program has successfully passed the Turing Test for Intelligence.
